Chef Casey Halpern loves using local big island grass fed beef in his delicious creations. Cafe Pesto gets their local beef from Kulana Foods in Hilo who processes and packages cattle from Kahua Ranch, Palani Ranch, and Parker Ranch.
Grass fed cattle are free range and leaner, so their meat contains less fat, cholesterol, and calories than fatty grain-fed cattle. Cafe Pesto loves to support our local farmers!
