Cafe Pesto Choosen in TravelAge West’s 10 Classic Restaurants on the Big Island

We were thrilled to be chosen in a recent article by TravelAge West’s, 10 Classic Restaurants on Hawaii, Big Island.

The author of the article narrowed down the top 10 restaurants that were at least 15 years old and appeal to visitors and residents alike. Cafe Pesto’s two locations in Kawaihae and Hilo Bay were both mentioned!

“Cafe Pesto

The harbor town of Kawaihae isn’t much to talk about, but the food at this 1988 landmark sure is. Creative island cuisine includes Asian/Pacific crab cakes and wood-fired pizzas with tomatoes grown in the Big Island. Its sister restaurant in Hilo, open since 1992, mirrors the dedication to local ingredients. Try the risotto with right-off-the-hook seafood.”

Cafe Pesto was mentioned among legendary big island restaurants like Huggo’s, Merriman’s, and Roy’s Waikoloa Bar and Grill! Mahalo to TravelAge West for the fantastic article and the mention! To read the full article visit TravelAge West online.
